During the month of September we kept pretty busy at Prestige Gym Melbourne having two of our boxers taking part in Victorian Boxing Championships. On the 8th of Sep Daniel fought in the novice junior division and Kristen in the elite intermediate division. Daniel did exceptionally well stepping up to compete in his first 3 rounder under Boxing Victoria Inc. He finished his bout just short on the judges’ score cards ending his journey in the semifinals but nevertheless he put a great show and made his club proud as always. Kris who fought in the finals of the intermediate division the same day also didn’t have luck with the judge’s decision leaving the ring with the silver medal.
The week later on the 14th two of our girls Mel and Joyce participated in a kickboxing event at the development day in Lylidale which was a great experience, definitely worth the travel.
