Our two boxers Mel and Luke G. again proudly represented Prestige Gym at Peter Ward Memorial Cup held on the 12th of July in Brunswick organised by Boxing Victoria Inc.
Both boxers fought out of their normal weight category with Mel taking on a 54kg opponent and Luke against a significantly heavier opponent at 75kg as a part of their preparations for the upcoming Championships.
Despite the weight and experience disadvantage both fights were of a very high quality.
We congratulate Mel on her great performance and great progress in all aspects of the sport which this time got her a unanimous decision win! Luke unfortunately didn’t get the decision this time but the fight was a good lead up for the upcoming State Championships.
