Last Friday and Sunday were very successful for Prestige Gym fighters Andy and Luke G, who both earned their wins via unanimous points decision in two very tough fights on Ultimate Show in Sunshine and Boxing Victoria Elite Championships.
Andy, even after changed circumstances surrounding his kickboxing fight managed to stay composed mentally and physically making his professional debut a great success.
After a slower first round which undoubtedly went to the opponent from Bacchus Marsh, Andy committed to the fight plan and consistently kept on scoring in the second and the third round with variety of weapons making his way to a clear win and what turned to be a good start of his professional fighting chapter.
Two days after, in Brunswick, Luke managed to make his way to the semifinals of the 2015 Victorian Elite Boxing Championships beating his opponent in a first time no headguard competition for elite male amateur boxers in Victoria.
69kg weight division proved again to be the most competitive with most entries so hard work ahead for Prestige Gym boxer Luke but chances are good so we look forward to the next round of eliminations!
